Instructions for using the Chemwatch CD

Hold down the shift key when inserting the CD into the CD or DVD drive, until the drive stops.

Right click the start button and select "explore" to open Windows Explorer. Select the CD Drive

On the CD there are the following files

Readme. pdf and Readme.doc. These files contain the same information. Select either the pdf or word document. The Readme file  explains what is on the CD as well as giving an explanation of the colour coding of the GHSNOtices

MSDS.pdf and MSDS.doc. These files contain the same information. Select either the pdf or word document. The MSDS file list the  substances for which there are a one page mini Safety Data Sheet  called a GHSNOtice. There can be printed individually or if you "ALL CHEMICALS" you can print all of the GHSNOtices at once. There are 313 Min Edu Allowable Substances on the CD

Booter.exe This file will start the Chemgold tutorials. There is the choice of a 20minute or 80 minute tutorial. Putting the CD into the drive without holding down the shift key should auto-load the tutorial.

Chemgold II.qxd.pdf is a pdf brochure on Chemgold II

workcg2.pdf is a copy of the Chemgold II workboook which is used in formal training sessions on Chemgold II
